Details:
Date : 29 February 2024 (Thursday)
Time : 7:00pm – 8:00pm (Registration at 6:50pm)
Venue: (Online) Zoom; (Physical) Chan Yat Mei Sophie Room, 9/F, HKIE HQ, Causeway Bay

Programme Highlight:
The seminar covers lighting knowledge, design skills introduction, project experience sharing, and the role of lighting design in ESG. It provides a one-hour learning journey on lux level, color temperature, color rendering index, R9 value, uniformity, and glare. It explores how lighting consultants apply ambient, task, and accent lighting in projects, and offers solutions to design faults like visible LED dots, inconsistent color temperature, and unwanted lighting scallops.

The second part focuses on project experience sharing from a recent museum project in Hong Kong, discussing exhibit protection and effective display illumination. Different lighting directions are explored to highlight art pieces.

The last part discusses lighting requirements in green building certifications like BEAM Plus, China Green Building Label, LEED, BREEAM, and WELL. It examines common requirements and provides insights on achieving them. The seminar aims to deepen participants' understanding of lighting through practical examples found in Hong Kong.

In summary, the seminar condenses lighting knowledge, practical application, and project insights into a comprehensive one-hour session, enhancing participants' understanding of the subject.
