Programme Highlights
The seminar will provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to learn about how safety works in two independent lift cars operating in one shaft. Growing urbanization leads to the increasing demand for smarter and more efficient passenger vertical transportation solutions. Traditionally, lift manufacturers develop technologies to despatch lifts more effectively and develop lift with higher speed. Besides, engineers challenged the status quo to have only one lift running in a single shaft. Lift transportation has then emerged from the operation of single car to double deckers, then to TWIN where two lift cars operate independent in a lift shaft. This innovative solution arises special interests to practitioners and stakeholders on the design of the system to ensure the two lift cars do not crash with each other. The presentation will be conducted in Cantonese supplemented by English terminology.
