Programme Highlights:
Q-Leak, the underground water mains leak detection training center, was constructed by Water Supplies Department (WSD) and opened on 26 July 2021 to provide better facilities for strengthening the industry with training and research capabilities on leak detection. The WSD envisages Q-Leak to serve as a teaching and research cooperation platform amongst the department, the trade and post-secondary education institutions in Hong Kong in the field of water mains leak detection, with a viewto elevating Hong Kong's leak detection technical level and excellence and contributing to the management of precious water resources of the territory. Please join us for a visit to “Q-Leak”, where representatives from Water Supplies Department (WSD) will show you the Methods & Technologies for effectiveness of leak detection, as well as field demonstration to enable the implementation of risk-based improvement works for water mains.

Fee (per person): HK$50 (Member of CIPHE & HKIE with CPD certificate)

CPD Certificate: Three hour CPD certificate will be given one month after the visit.

The number of participants is limited to 25 and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline of application is noon on 21 November 2022 (Monday). Successful applicants will be confirmed by email. The accepted applicants should proceed the payment and attend the above event as scheduled. Applicants shall NOT proceed to payment stage without the confirmation of successful enrollment.

Payment should be deposited to “CIPHE-HK” at “The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited” Account No. 143-126217-001. Please email bank receipt with email title as “Registration to CPD event: CPD-20221128” to CIPHE-HKB via info@ciphe.org.hk.

Note for Registration:
(1) Registration fee is non-refundable, non-transferable.
(2) E-receipt will be send to the registrant by e-mail only upon payment.
(3) Unsuccessful applicants will be given refund of registration fee if they have already paid.
(4) No refund will be made for no show with confirmed successful enrollment & payment.
(5) The visit will be cancelled when the typhoon signal No. 8 or above, or black storm warning is hoisted 3 hours before commencement of the visit.
(6) Information provided will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned, or disclosed to third party.
(7) In order to strengthen epidemic prevention measures to protect everyone's health, all participants to pay attention to the following:-
    (i) Participants must pay attention to personal hygiene and wear a mask for the whole visit period
    (ii) Participants are requested to take their body temperature and hold valid –ve RAT test result at the day of visit. If participants are found to be unwell or have a fever, please do not join the visit and inform CIPHE-HKB
