Programme Highlight:
11 SKIES is the largest one-stop retail, entertainment and commercial complex in Hong Kong – located next to Chek Lap Kok Airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB).
Developed by New World Development (NWD) and operated by K11, 11 SKIES is the centerpiece of the SKYCITY project and is the most high-profile multi-purpose complex to have opened in Hong Kong in recent years. Comprising a total floor area of 3.8 million square feet, 11 SKIES houses more than 800 shops and 120 dining outlets, as well as the largest indoor entertainment hub in Hong Kong which is targeted to redefine experiential entertainment. It also includes three Grade A office towers for finance and wealth management corporations, wellness and healthcare service providers, and space for both Hong Kong and PRC companies to set up their base for operating in the GBA.
Sustainability and innovation have underpinned the design and construction process. K11 ATELIER 11 SKIES has earned esteemed green building credentials, achieving triple final Platinum certifications through BEAM Plus, LEED and WELL; and features one of Asia’s largest PVT (Photovoltac-Thermal) installations, able to generate around 177,000 kWh of energy per year, equivalent to approximately 1.2% of the office buildings’ operations and enough to charge 2,500 electric vehicles per year. AI is driving environmental performance in the Carpark, with NWD and PolyU collaborating powering 11 SKIES’ electric vehicle charging points. The load management system improves charging point energy efficiency using AI. The system is estimated to result in a 53% electricity provision saving and deliver almost 100% energy utilisation.
During this tour, representatives from New World Development and AECOM will guide through the completion of the first phase of 11 SKIES – the K11 Atelier, Grade A office building.
