Since the complete removal of travel restrictions by the Hong Kong government in early 2023, the tourism sector is witnessing a resurgence. In preparation for the influx of guests, hotels in Hong Kong & Macau are planning for renovations. Traditionally, dimming systems were prevalent in hotel public areas to achieve optimal lighting effects but today's design considerations extend beyond dimming and details will be explored in this seminar. The technical workshop will also focus on the latest trends in Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS), covering guest presence detection, HVAC control, energy dashboard and seamless integration with Project Management Systems (PMS) and in-room APP. Furthermore, a wireless solution for simple retrofitting existing hotel guestrooms will also be introduced.
In essence, this seminar serves as a concise guide for engineers involved in hotel renovations, providing insights into the latest advancements in lighting control technology helping hotels to offer an enhanced and technologically refined guest experience as they enter a new chapter of recovery and renewal.
