Programme Highlight:
Since 1937, Queen Mary Hospital has served as a key acute care facility in Hong Kong's West Cluster under the Hospital Authority. Serving residents of Central, Western and Southern Districts, it delivers comprehensive acute, tertiary, and specialist care. This development includes replacement of three existing buildings with a new clinical block (QMH CB1), featuring expansive floors that connect emergency care, ICU, operating theaters, and diagnostic facilities - optimizing critical care delivery. A new Pokfulam Road access point will also be created to improve hospital accessibility.
Participants of this technical visit will visit the specialized building services systems designed for the new Operation Theatre, Sterile Core, General Wards, and Infection Control Facilities. Members will have the opportunity to learn about the resilience and reliability of the main plant systems that support the hospital's building services infrastructure.

Requirements for all participants:
Since QMH CB1 is a construction site, all successful participants should possess and bring the valid Safety Card (Green Card) or the equivalent document, such as an HKIE corporate membership card, and be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while visiting the site. Participants are responsible for bringing their own safety footwear, while we will provide safety helmets and safety vests. Sleeveless or tank top shirts, short pants, sweatpants, dresses, skirts, sneakers, sandals, high-heeled shoes, and open-toed shoes are not permitted for this visit.

CPD Certificate:
CPD attendance certificate (2-hour) will be distributed to the participants after the visit by email. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify and terminate those non-properly registered participants to attend the visit.
